SNH European Wire Rope Hoist for Mining Supplier in Australia

Sep 03, 2026

A few weeks ago, a customer in Australia placed an order for two SNH European type wire rope hoist units. The customer is an organisation which supplies engineering solutions to the mining sector and the machinery will be used within a factory.

We hadn't carried out this project for the first time. Earlier we had worked for the customer and that previous interaction had proceeded without any problems. Since both the equipment and our communication had satisfied the customer, whenever a new lifting requirement arose he got in touch with us once more and sent the inquiry directly to our team.

A New Order from a Trusted Customer

The person to contact is the manager of the Maintenance Department. And he is looking for two 20-ton wire rope hoists for use in a workshop.

The lifting height required is 8.5 metres and the working class is A5; both units are operated using a wireless remote control and are powered by a 415V, 50Hz, three-phase power supply.

Several details had to be confirmed before production could proceed. The customer wanted SEW motors to be used on all the motorised parts and both hoists should have eight wheels together with large load displays so that the weight being lifted can be seen clearly when the equipment is in operation.

Since the main girder is 450 mm wide, the arrangement of the hoist wheels also had to correspond with that of the existing crane structure.

Even though they may seem to be minor points, they are important when a European hoist is being fitted onto an existing or proposed crane system since the mounting dimensions, the wheel arrangement, the choice of motor, and the control system all have to match one another.

Technical Requirements Were Confirmed Before the Order

After receiving the inquiry, we prepared the quotation according to the customer's specifications. As an experienced buyer in the industrial sector, the customer also collected quotations from other suppliers for comparison.

We did not simply focus on price. We reviewed the configuration with the customer and confirmed the key technical points one by one, including the lifting capacity, 8.5-meter lifting height, eight-wheel arrangement, SEW motors, large load display, and 450 mm girder width.

Because we had worked together before, the communication was much more straightforward. The customer already knew our products and understood how we handled technical questions. At the same time, our team was familiar with the customer's expectations, which made the process easier for both sides.

Two 20-Ton Hoists for Workshop Use

The final order includes two SNH European type wire rope hoist units, each rated for 20 tons.

The hoists are designed for industrial workshop applications where heavy components need to be lifted and positioned reliably. The 8.5-meter lifting height provides the required vertical working range, while wireless remote control allows the operator to work from a suitable position with a clear view of the load.

The eight-wheel design was specified by the customer to suit the intended installation. The large load display also gives the operator a direct indication of the lifting load during operation.

For a mining industry equipment supplier, these details are important. Workshop equipment is often used to handle heavy machinery components, and the lifting system needs to be dependable day after day.

Trust Made the Final Decision Easier

After comparing the different offers, the customer took some time to evaluate the options. In the end, he chose to continue with us and sent the purchase order directly.

The decision was not based on the quotation alone. Previous cooperation had already given the customer confidence in our products and service. That existing relationship made it easier for him to move forward when the new requirement appeared.

The order is scheduled for delivery within 20 working days and will be shipped by sea under CIF terms to the Port of Perth, Australia. Payment is arranged as 50% T/T in advance.

Continuing a Successful Business Relationship

A repeat order is always meaningful, especially when the customer has compared several suppliers before making a decision. It shows that previous experience continues to carry weight.

For this Australian customer, the new SNH European type wire rope hoist order combines the lifting capacity required for workshop operations with specific components and dimensions suited to the customer's crane system.

The project is a good example of how technical understanding and reliable service can turn a first cooperation into a long-term business relationship. When the customer had a new requirement, he knew where to come back. And when the project was ready to move forward, the purchase order followed.
