Repeat Order for European Wire Rope Hoists and Portable Gantry Cranes
A long-term distributor in Indonesia recently placed another order with us for a batch of European wire rope hoists, hoist trolleys, and portable steel gantry cranes. The customer is a Marketing Manager working in the construction machinery, lifting equipment, and compact machinery sector.
This cooperation has continued for around two years. During this period, the customer has placed 10 orders with us. The latest order once again includes several different types of lifting equipment, showing the growing scope of cooperation between the two companies.
Rather than purchasing one standard product, the customer needed equipment for different applications and also had detailed requirements for branding, painting, packaging, and identification.
A Mixed Order for Different Lifting Applications
The order includes seven European wire rope hoists and hoist trolleys, covering lifting capacities from 3.2 tons to 16 tons.
The 3.2-ton wire rope hoists are supplied with 6-meter and 9-meter lifting heights. The order also includes 5-ton and 10-ton wire rope hoists, as well as 5-ton, 10-ton, and 16-ton hoist trolleys.
All of these units are designed with an M5 working class and a 380V, 50Hz, 3-phase power supply. The control voltage is specified as 48V.
The customer also provided specific requirements for the mounting dimensions. For example, the required face width ranges were defined for the 3.2-ton, 5-ton, and 10-ton hoists. The wheelbase of the hoist trolleys was also confirmed for different capacities. These dimensions are important when the hoists are matched with different crane structures.
Portable Gantry Cranes for Different Customers
Another major part of the order consists of portable steel gantry cranes.
The customer ordered both manual and electric versions. The manual models include fixed-height and adjustable-height configurations, with lifting capacities from 1 ton to 5 tons.
The adjustable-height models use a hand winch, allowing the working height to be changed within the specified range. This is useful for customers who need one gantry crane to serve different working positions.
A 5-ton electric portable gantry crane with a fixed 5-meter height is also included. This gives the distributor more options when supplying lifting equipment to customers with different workshop requirements.
During the order process, the customer also added six more adjustable-height manual gantry cranes: three 3-ton units and three 5-ton units. These additional machines were arranged to ship together with the original order.
Branding and Packaging Made for the Distributor
As a long-term distributor, the customer does not simply purchase equipment. The products also need to fit his own sales system.
The hoist bodies are marked with the customer's company logo, while the main beams of the portable gantry cranes carry the customer's logo together with the required SWL marking.
The packaging was also customized. Each gantry crane is separately covered with PE tarpaulin to help protect the painted surface during transportation. The outer wooden crates are marked with the customer's requested product name and model number.
Each handle is packed separately and placed inside the corresponding hoist crate. Model identification labels are attached to the individual packages, making it easier for the customer to find the correct machine after receiving a mixed shipment.
These details may seem small, but they make a real difference for a distributor handling multiple products at the same time.
Attention to Protection During Transportation
The customer also raised a practical concern about galvanized components on the hoists. Since the equipment would spend time in sea transportation and storage, the customer requested additional moisture protection.
At least two packs of desiccant are placed inside each hoist wooden crate. The electrical sections of the equipment are also packed according to the customer's branding and packaging requirements.
The paint system for the portable gantry cranes was specified as PU primer and topcoat. For fully manual 2-ton gantry cranes with a span over 4 meters, additional screw supports are included to improve structural support.
A Partnership Built Through Repeated Orders
The most important feature of this project is the relationship behind it.
The customer has worked with us for about two years and has already placed 10 orders. Previous cooperation has covered multiple lifting equipment projects, giving both sides a clear understanding of product requirements, communication methods, and delivery procedures.
With each new order, the customer has become more familiar with our manufacturing process, while our team has gained a better understanding of the products and specifications his market requires.
This long-term cooperation also makes customized orders more efficient. Branding, model naming, drawings, manuals, warranty cards, packaging labels, and shipping arrangements can all be confirmed in advance.
The latest order is scheduled for delivery within 35 working days and will be shipped by sea under FOB Qingdao Port terms. Payment is arranged as 30% T/T in advance, with the balance paid before delivery.
For a distributor, reliable supply is about more than receiving equipment on time. Consistent product quality, accurate customization, clear identification, and responsive communication all affect how easily the equipment can reach the end customer.
