Single-beam Gantry Crane for Machinery Parts Handling in Bolivia

Aug 26, 2026

A customer in Bolivia recently ordered a Single-beam gantry crane for an indoor workshop used for machinery parts. The project required more than a standard quotation. The customer needed a complete crane system that could fit the existing workshop, operate along a 27-meter runway, and match the dimensions shown in the customer's drawings.

The customer is an engineer and an end user. His company works with construction machinery parts, where lifting equipment is used for moving components during production and handling. The crane will be installed inside a factory, so the available space and actual site conditions were important when selecting the final configuration.

From an Initial Quotation to a Detailed Discussion

The customer first contacted us for a quotation. We prepared an offer based on the initial information, but there was no response after the quotation was sent.

Instead of treating the inquiry as a lost opportunity, our sales team followed up by phone. This direct conversation helped us understand what was happening at the customer's facility and why the project needed a specific configuration.

During the call, we confirmed the workshop conditions, lifting requirements, crane dimensions, and the customer's drawings. We also discussed how the crane would be used inside the factory and what type of travel system would be suitable.

After understanding the actual application, we adjusted our recommendation accordingly. This gave the customer a clearer picture of what he would receive instead of simply comparing a product price.

8-Ton Single-beam Gantry Crane

The final equipment is an NMH Single-beam gantry crane with an 8-ton lifting capacity and A5 working class.

The crane has an 18.4-meter span and a 6.65-meter lifting height. It uses a 400V, 50Hz, 3-phase power supply and is operated by wireless remote control.

The complete crane is designed for indoor use. Its dimensions and main technical parameters will be manufactured according to the confirmed drawings. This is particularly important for an existing workshop, where the crane needs to work within the available building space.

The customer also required P24 rails. The crane travel length is 27 meters, so the total rail supply is 54 meters for the two running lines. A cable and cable reel system is included in the supply as well.

Why the Site Information Mattered

For an indoor Single-beam gantry crane, the lifting capacity is only one part of the design.

The relationship between the crane height and the building structure must be checked. The span needs to match the working area. The rail length must cover the required travel distance. The cable system also needs to work with the crane's movement.

These details were confirmed during the phone communication. Instead of recommending a configuration based only on the initial inquiry, our team discussed the actual workshop conditions with the customer and used the drawings as the basis for the final production parameters.

This helped remove uncertainty from the project and gave the customer greater confidence in the proposed solution.

Complete Supply for the Workshop

The final order includes one complete NMH single-beam gantry crane, P24 rails, and a cable and cable reel system.

The crane is scheduled for delivery within 30 working days by sea. The trade term is FOB Qingdao Port, with payment arranged at 50% T/T in advance and 50% before shipment.

The project also reflects the importance of communication in customized crane orders. The initial quotation was only the starting point. After the customer became difficult to reach, direct communication helped us confirm the real requirements and provide a more suitable recommendation.

For this Bolivian customer, the final Single-beam gantry crane was selected based on the actual workshop conditions, drawing requirements, and lifting application. The result is a complete indoor lifting solution prepared around the way the customer intends to use the equipment.
