Spider Crane for High-Rise Construction Project in Moscow
SEVENCRANE recently completed an order for two spider crane units for a contractor carrying out building façade installation projects in Moscow, Russia. Although the customer is a Turkish contractor operating in Russia, the project required compliance with local logistics arrangements and an extremely challenging indoor working environment. By providing a fully customized lifting solution, detailed technical verification, and flexible DAP delivery service, SEVENCRANE successfully secured the order and established a foundation for future cooperation.
Customer Background
The customer is the CEO of a construction contracting company responsible for installing aluminum façade panels on high-rise buildings in Moscow. Unlike conventional outdoor lifting projects, this application required the cranes to be transported inside the building using elevators before performing lifting operations on upper floors.
The customer first contacted SEVENCRANE in September 2025 requesting one 3-ton spider crane. Their priorities were very clear:
- Compact dimensions suitable for elevator transportation
- Ability to lift 1.5-ton aluminum alloy panels within a 4-meter working radius
- Reliable quality
- Competitive pricing
- Fast delivery before the end of April 2026
Since these requirements involved both structural design and transportation planning, the project required close cooperation between our sales and engineering teams.

Technical Requirements
The final order included:
- Product: Spider Crane
- Model: SS3.0
- Quantity: 2 Units
- Rated Capacity: 3 Tons
- Working Radius Requirement: 4 m
- Control Method: Wireless Remote Control
- Power Supply: 380V, 50Hz, 3 Phase
The standard configuration included:
- Changchai diesel engine
- Standard wireless remote controller
- Load moment indicator
- Load moment limiter
- Three-turn winch protection
- Hook over-winding alarm
- Two-section telescopic boom
These safety devices ensure stable lifting performance while protecting both operators and valuable construction materials.
Solving the Elevator Challenge
The customer's biggest concern was not lifting capacity—it was transportation inside the building.
The spider crane had to enter two construction elevators before reaching the work floor. During the project, the customer updated the elevator dimensions several times. The final available space was:
- Width: 1330 mm
- Length: 3200 mm
- Height: 2400 mm
- Maximum door height: 1700 mm
Any small dimensional error could make the crane impossible to transport to the upper floors.
Instead of relying only on specification sheets, SEVENCRANE's engineering team prepared detailed CAD drawings showing the exact folded dimensions of the spider crane. We demonstrated that the machine could be customized to safely pass through the elevator doors while maintaining all required lifting functions.
This visual verification gave the customer confidence that the equipment would work exactly as required.
Performance at the Job Site
Another important technical requirement was lifting performance.
The customer needed the crane to safely lift 1.5-ton aluminum alloy façade panels within a 4-meter working radius. Our engineering calculations confirmed that the customized SS3.0 configuration fully met this requirement while maintaining an adequate safety margin.
Compared with larger mobile cranes, the compact spider crane can operate in confined indoor spaces where conventional lifting equipment cannot be used. Its outriggers provide excellent stability while occupying minimal floor space, making it ideal for high-rise construction and interior installation projects.

Competitive Advantages
During the evaluation process, the customer also considered well-known Japanese spider crane brands.
Although those products have a strong reputation, their prices were significantly higher.
SEVENCRANE demonstrated that our customized spider crane could provide similar operational capabilities while offering a much more competitive investment cost. Combined with our willingness to customize the machine according to the customer's unique working environment, this became a decisive advantage.
The customer also raised several professional technical questions regarding lifting capacity, working radius, and transportation dimensions. Our engineering team responded quickly with detailed explanations and technical drawings, helping eliminate every concern before production.
Flexible Logistics Solution
The customer also required assistance with transportation.
Instead of standard FOB shipping, the project was updated to DAP Moscow, meaning SEVENCRANE would arrange transportation directly to Moscow while the customer handled local customs clearance.
This logistics solution simplified the purchasing process and reduced coordination work for the customer.
To satisfy the construction schedule, production was also arranged with strict delivery control to ensure shipment before the customer's required deadline at the end of April.
Building Long-Term Cooperation
Although the customer originally planned to purchase only one crane, their confidence in SEVENCRANE continued to grow throughout the project.
After confirming the technical solution and transportation plan, the customer decided to purchase two spider crane units as the first phase of the project. They also informed us that after testing these machines on site, they intend to order two additional units for future construction projects.
This successful cooperation once again demonstrates that professional engineering support, customized solutions, and responsive technical service are often more important than simply offering a low price. Through careful communication and practical problem-solving, SEVENCRANE delivered a spider crane solution perfectly suited for one of the most demanding indoor construction applications.
