Single Girder Overhead Crane for a New Factory in Ghana
Recently, a customer in Ghana ordered a Single Girder Overhead Crane which will be installed in his factory which is now being built. However, the order was not limited to the crane only as the customer had to have the rails, runway beams, brackets, and conductor bar installed along with the crane.
As the factory was being built, the customer provided us with the factory drawings. It helped us to know about the factory requirements and the dimensions of the crane to provide him with a suitable lifting solution.
5 Ton Crane According to the Factory
The selected Single Girder Overhead Crane is the SNHD type European one which can lift 5 tons at a time having A5 duty class. The span of the crane is 22.605 meters with a lifting height of 7 meters. The total height of the crane is 8.568 meters. It uses a wireless remote control and works on 380V, 50Hz, three-phase power supply.
It was necessary to take into account these parameters since the customer's building structure determined the crane's dimensions. The headroom, span, the position of runways, and the lifting height should be considered altogether. Taking advantage of customer's drawings we managed to estimate these parameters before producing the crane.

Supplying the Supporting Structure Together
It is easier for the customer to get a ready-made solution, rather than to buy individual parts separately. So, in this order we offer to get 50 × 30 mm crane rails, runway beams, supporting brackets, and a conductor bar system.
The rail system has the running length of 95 m, including two rail lines. In addition to that, we offer to purchase 190 m of runway beams and 28 supporting brackets. Our supply will include the conductor bar system with the length of 95 m and a cross-section of 6 mm².
Such supply provides an opportunity to integrate the crane with the factory structure.
Adjusting the Proposal to Meet the Customer's Budget
After receiving our initial quotation, the customer continued comparing offers from other suppliers. The main discussion was not limited to the crane price. The specifications and costs of the runway beams, supporting brackets, packing, and transportation were also important.
We reviewed the different proposals and adjusted the supporting structure and shipping arrangements according to the configuration and commercial terms agreed with the customer.
This process helped bring the project closer to the customer's budget while keeping the main crane requirements clear. The final scope was confirmed before the order moved forward, including the quantities of rails, supporting beams, brackets, and electrical components.
For a new factory project, these details matter. A competitive crane quotation is useful, but the complete system must also fit the building and the customer's installation plan.

From Factory Drawings to a Confirmed Order
The project is scheduled for completion within 20 working days. Shipment will be arranged by sea under CIF Tema, Ghana terms. Payment is agreed at 30% T/T in advance and 70% against the draft bill of lading.
This Ghana project shows how a Single Girder Overhead Crane order can involve much more than selecting lifting capacity and span. The building layout, runway structure, rail length, power supply, packaging, and freight arrangements all affect the final solution.
By reviewing the customer's drawings, discussing the full supply scope, and adjusting the proposal through several rounds of communication, SEVENCRANE helped the customer move forward with a suitable Single Girder Overhead Crane for the new factory. The goal was to provide equipment that fits the planned workspace and makes the next stage of installation easier to manage.
