1. Limit system malfunction

The main function of the limit switch is to limit the operating range of the garbage grab bridge crane. And ensure that the equipment operates normally in a safe area. When the limit switch of the translation mechanism collides with the ruler, the limit switch is triggered, and the PLC will stop the operation of the mechanism after receiving the signal. The main symptoms of limit switch faults include:

1) Translation mechanism limit switch

The crane cannot operate due to not reaching the stop area but the limit switch being triggered. Or reaching the stop area but the limit switch is not triggered, causing the crane to exceed the operating area.

2. Height limit switch of lifting mechanism

The main malfunction that occurred was triggered at the wrong height, causing the lifting mechanism to fail to reach the required height for operation. Or the height limit protection is not triggered at normal altitude.

2. Encoder system malfunction

1) The deviation between the displayed travel on the touch screen and the actual travel is significant.

2) The stroke on the touch screen remains unchanged or the data is abnormal, and the PLC displays a fault in the encoder module.

3. Weighing system malfunction

1) There is a deviation in the quality displayed by the weighing instrument.

2) There is an issue with the feeding record of the industrial computer.

Due to the special operating environment and working characteristics of garbage grab bridge crane, daily inspection and maintenance of equipment are also very important. Early detection of abnormal electrical components and maintenance or replacement are essential to fundamentally reduce the probability of electrical failures in garbage grab cranes.
