Addressing the Client's Needs
For the purpose of repairing the mining trucks, a workshop should have reliable machinery to lift heavy loads. The engines and other truck assemblies need to be lifted for inspection, repairs, or replacement. Having a proper portable gantry crane will assist the mechanics in performing their tasks more efficiently and with minimum physical strain.
SEVENCRANE received a request for a PT3 portable gantry crane from the end user in the Philippines. The client supplied the blueprints of the gantry crane and asked to strictly follow them during manufacturing process. In addition to the gantry crane, the client ordered a chain hoist.
This portable crane features a 20-ton load capacity, 7-meter span, and 7.7-meter lifting height. The work class of the crane is A3 and it operates on pendant controller. The necessary electric parameters are 220V, 60Hz, three-phase. This information is vital in the definition of the crane's configuration.
Facilitating Mining Truck Maintenance
Mining trucks operate in tough conditions, and their engines and mechanical assemblies are heavy, which means that maintenance personnel require an efficient mechanism of lifting them when performing maintenance activities.
The portable gantry crane proposed for purchase within this project will be used to lift mining truck engines and other elements. Its load capacity of 20 tons meets the requirements set out by the customer. The 7.7-meter height of lifts and 7-meter span of the crane correspond to the values specified in the design approved by the customer.
The lifting is done by the chain hoist, and pendant control allows the operator to handle the equipment efficiently in course of regular operations. Having a dedicated lifting mechanism can help maintenance personnel in positioning the parts to be examined and/or repaired.
The final configuration of the crane needs to fit the conditions of the workshop where the crane will be installed. It is recommended to verify the clearances, lifting heights, load dimensions and lifting positions. Since the equipment is designed for a particular purpose, the customer's drawings should be followed strictly.
Manufacturing to the Supplied Drawings
SEVENCRANE manufactures the portable gantry crane according to the confirmed technical requirements. The PT3 model, chain hoist, A3 working duty, control method, and electrical supply are included in the project specifications.
Custom manufacturing is useful when customers already have a defined workshop layout or particular equipment requirements. Providing detailed drawings and technical information at the inquiry stage helps the engineering team review the design and confirm the necessary configuration.
The crane should also be checked against the site's electrical supply and installation conditions before use. This is particularly important when the customer specifies a particular voltage and frequency.
Shipping to Manila, Philippines
The order was arranged on CIF Manila terms, with shipment by sea. The agreed delivery period was 25 working days. Payment terms were 50% T/T in advance and 50% before shipment.
