Crane Kit for an Existing Single Girder Overhead Crane in Morocco
A long-term customer in Morocco recently placed another order with us for a Crane Kit designed for an existing European single girder overhead crane. The customer works in the foundry industry and has been cooperating with us on lifting equipment projects for several years.
This project was different from a standard complete crane order. The customer already had the main girder and needed a new crane kit to be installed on it. Since the customer was familiar with our products and service, the project moved forward with clear technical requirements and efficient communication.
A Crane Kit Designed for an Existing Main Girder
The customer required an SNHD single girder overhead crane kit with a rated lifting capacity of 6.3 tons. The existing main girder has a span of 18.992 meters and is designed for a 9-meter lifting height.
The new Crane Kit will be installed on this existing yellow-painted main girder. This meant that the dimensions and running components had to match the existing structure accurately. The kit was therefore prepared as a set of crane components rather than as a complete overhead crane.
The working class is A5, with a 380V, 50Hz, 3-phase power supply. Wireless remote control is used for crane operation. The customer also requested a yellow finish to match the existing main girder.
Configuration Focused on Reliable Operation
The customer had several specific requirements for the running system.
The complete crane kit uses dual-speed motors without frequency converters. This configuration was selected according to the customer's operating requirements. A cross-type travel limit switch is also included for the hoist, while photoelectric travel limit devices are provided for the crane travel mechanism.
The project also includes 54 meters of 10 mm² seamless conductor bar and one current collector set. In addition to the required quantity, we are providing another 54 meters of seamless conductor bar with one current collector set at no additional charge. Supporting accessories for the conductor bar installation are included as well.
These details were confirmed before production so that the kit could be prepared to suit the customer's existing crane structure.

The customer had previously experienced our installation support and was satisfied with the way our team handled the work on site. This gave him confidence in our ability to support future projects.

As a result, when the customer needed another crane kit, he came back to us with specific requirements rather than starting the supplier selection process from the beginning.

Additional Components Shipped Together
The order also provided an opportunity to consolidate spare components from an earlier project. Nineteen replacement crane travel motors were arranged to ship together with this Crane Kit in the same container.
The customer would arrange the transportation after delivery under FOB Qingdao terms. Combining the items into one shipment helped simplify the customer's logistics arrangement and avoided arranging a separate shipment for the additional motors.
A Practical Crane Kit for Existing Crane Structures
The final order includes one 6.3-ton SNHD Crane Kit, configured for an 18.992-meter existing main girder, together with the required travel motors, limit devices, conductor bar system, and related accessories.
The order is scheduled for delivery within 30 working days by sea under FOB Qingdao terms. Payment is arranged as 10% T/T in advance and 90% T/T before shipment.
