Customized Fully Electric Steel Gantry Crane Project for Australia

SEVENCRANE recently completed a customized fully electric steel gantry crane project for a customer in Australia. The project includes one set of PT type fully electric steel gantry crane equipped with dual main girders and two electric hoists. The equipment was designed specifically for handling steel mesh and wire materials in a steel structure manufacturing workshop. The crane will be shipped under EXW terms after a production period of 15 working days.

The customer is an end user operating a steel structure manufacturing company in Australia. Before cooperating with SEVENCRANE, the customer had experience using a traditional single girder portable gantry crane. However, during actual operation, the customer found that the previous design was not convenient enough for lifting and transporting large steel mesh materials. Due to the irregular shape and wide size of steel mesh and steel wire products, the single girder structure could not provide ideal lifting balance and operational flexibility.

Customized Double Girder Design Solution

After receiving the customer’s inquiry, SEVENCRANE carefully analyzed the working conditions and lifting requirements. Instead of recommending a conventional single girder gantry crane like some other suppliers, SEVENCRANE proposed a specially customized double girder steel gantry crane solution with two electric hoists.

The customized gantry crane adopts a PT type fully electric steel structure with a lifting capacity of 5 tons using a 3+3 ton dual hoist configuration. The crane span is 5 meters with a total height of 7 meters. Powered by 415V, 50Hz, 3-phase electricity, the equipment is fully compatible with Australian industrial electrical standards.

One of the key advantages of this design is the use of two electric hoists installed on dual main girders. This configuration allows operators to lift long steel mesh materials more evenly and safely. The dual-hoist system can effectively reduce load deformation and improve lifting stability during transportation.

Operators can control the two hoists simultaneously when lifting large steel mesh materials, ensuring balanced movement and improved handling efficiency. At the same time, each crane can also operate independently to perform different lifting tasks. This greatly improves the versatility of the equipment.

In addition, the crane adopts a dual-drive steering wheel system, which enhances movement flexibility. And provides smoother traveling performance inside the workshop.
