Steel Gantry Crane to Canada for Outdoor Material Handling
SEVENCRANE recently completed another large-scale project for a long-term Canadian customer by supplying multiple customized Steel Gantry Crane systems and electric chain hoists. Having cooperated since July 2021, the customer has become one of our valued repeat partners. Demonstrating strong confidence in SEVENCRANE's product quality, engineering capability, and after-sales support. This latest order further strengthens our long-term partnership. And showcases our ability to deliver customized lifting solutions that comply with North American standards.
The project was shipped by sea under CIF Montreal, Canada terms with a production period of 25–30 working days. The payment terms consisted of 30% T/T in advance and 70% by irrevocable Letter of Credit at sight. Providing financial security for both parties while ensuring the project progressed smoothly according to schedule.
The order included a comprehensive range of lifting equipment. Two PT Steel Gantry Cranes with 10-ton dual lifting capacity (10+10 tons) were supplied. Each featuring a 5-meter span, 6.4-meter overall height, and both wireless remote control and pendant control. In addition, one 7.5-ton PT Steel Gantry Crane with dual 7.5-ton lifting units, a 4.9-meter span, and 6.1-meter overall height was manufactured according to the customer's specifications. The project also included one 7.5-ton traveling electric chain hoist and one 10-ton traveling electric chain hoist. Together with spare wireless remote-control systems for each unit.
Because all Steel Gantry Crane systems would operate outdoors in Canada, environmental protection became one of the customer's highest priorities. To ensure long-term reliability under challenging weather conditions, every outdoor wheel assembly and all electrical components were enclosed in specially designed waterproof control boxes. This design effectively protects electrical equipment from rain, snow, moisture, and condensation. Significantly extending the service life of the crane while reducing maintenance requirements.

Another important requirement involved electrical compliance. Since the equipment would be installed in Canada, the customer requested that all electrical components—including contactors, relays, power supply systems, electrical cables, and metal control cabinets—must comply with CSA or cUL certification requirements. SEVENCRANE carefully selected qualified electrical components that satisfied these standards. Ensuring the equipment could be installed and operated in accordance with local regulations.
Interestingly, the customer requested that all electrical cables be excluded from the shipment. Based on previous project experience, they preferred to purchase cables locally. Because Canadian cable specifications differ from those commonly supplied by Chinese manufacturers. By removing unnecessary components from the order, the customer reduced transportation costs while ensuring complete compliance with local installation standards.
During the engineering stage, the customer also requested a structural modification. The maximum distance between the two hoists installed on each Steel Gantry Crane was adjusted to 4.3 meters to better suit their actual lifting operations. After receiving the updated engineering drawings, the customer carefully reviewed every technical detail. And confirmed that all dimensions fully met the project requirements. Only after obtaining final drawing approval did SEVENCRANE begin full-scale production.

The project timeline required particularly careful coordination. Because the customer had already planned a second purchase order, which was scheduled to be paid the following week. Their goal was to receive both shipments before March 31, allowing installation to proceed according to the construction schedule. Understanding the importance of this deadline, SEVENCRANE optimized production planning and coordinated closely with the logistics department to ensure manufacturing, inspection, packing, and shipment were completed as efficiently as possible.
Before shipment, every Steel Gantry Crane and electric chain hoist underwent comprehensive factory testing. Lifting performance, trolley travel, structural stability, braking systems, electrical controls, waterproof sealing, and remote-control functions were all carefully inspected to ensure reliable operation after installation. Quality control documentation was prepared according to customer requirements, giving the customer full confidence in the equipment before shipment.
Over more than four years of cooperation, this Canadian customer has repeatedly selected SEVENCRANE because of our consistent product quality, rapid technical support, and ability to provide customized engineering solutions. Every repeat order further demonstrates the trust built through successful cooperation and dependable equipment performance.
