Single Girder Gantry Crane to Kazakhstan with Dual Hoist
SEVENCRANE recently completed the delivery of a single girder gantry crane to a manufacturing customer in Kazakhstan. This project demonstrates how a customized technical solution, rather than simply offering the lowest price, helped us win the customer's confidence in a highly competitive bidding process.
The customer required a reliable gantry crane for material handling in their manufacturing facility. After carefully reviewing the working conditions and redesigning the original proposal, SEVENCRANE successfully provided a 16t+5t single girder gantry crane that fully met the customer's production requirements while maintaining excellent cost performance.
Customer Background
The customer is an end user operating in the manufacturing industry in Kazakhstan. Their production process involves handling components of different weights, requiring both heavy lifting capability and auxiliary lifting functions during daily operations.
The equipment was delivered under DAP Taraz terms via railway transportation, providing an efficient logistics solution for Central Asia.
The project schedule was also demanding. The customer required production to be completed within 20 working days, making production planning and communication especially important.
Project Specifications
The final equipment configuration included:
- Product: Single Girder Gantry Crane
- Model: MH16/5t-11.8m-6.5m
- Main Lifting Capacity: 16 tons
- Auxiliary Lifting Capacity: 5 tons
- Span: 11.8 m
- Lifting Height: 6.5 m

This customized single girder gantry crane combines high lifting capacity with greater flexibility by using two independent hoisting mechanisms, allowing operators to handle different lifting tasks more efficiently.

Reactivating the Project
One of the most interesting aspects of this order is that it was not a completely new inquiry.
The customer had originally been handled by another sales representative, but communication gradually slowed down and the project remained inactive for some time. After the opportunity was transferred, our team re-established contact with the customer and carefully reviewed the entire project from the beginning.
Instead of simply continuing with the previous quotation, we chose to fully understand the customer's actual application requirements again. During these discussions, we discovered that the original lifting solution could be further optimized.
Designing a Better Solution
Based on the customer's production process, our engineering team proposed replacing the previous configuration with a dual-hoist design.
The upgraded solution significantly improved operational flexibility. The 16-ton main hoist handles heavy manufacturing components, while the independent 5-ton auxiliary hoist is ideal for lighter materials, tooling, maintenance work, and positioning operations.
This design allows operators to complete different lifting tasks without changing equipment, improving productivity while reducing operating costs.
After reviewing the revised proposal, the customer expressed strong interest in the new design.

Winning Against Strong Competition
Like many industrial projects, this order involved several competing suppliers.
During the quotation process, the customer also received an offer from another well-known crane manufacturer. Price competition quickly became one of the project's biggest challenges.
Rather than sacrificing product quality, SEVENCRANE carefully optimized the crane design and manufacturing configuration. By refining structural details and selecting the most appropriate technical solution, we successfully reduced the overall project cost while maintaining the required safety standards and lifting performance.
This balanced approach allowed the customer to obtain a competitive price without compromising equipment reliability.
After comparing all proposals, the customer ultimately selected SEVENCRANE.
Reliable Solution for Manufacturing Applications
The completed single girder gantry crane provides an ideal lifting solution for manufacturing workshops where both heavy and medium-duty lifting operations are performed regularly.
Its dual-hoist configuration increases operational efficiency by allowing different lifting capacities within one crane system. Combined with wireless remote control and pendant control, operators can work safely and conveniently in various production environments.
The included cable drum system also ensures stable power supply while supporting long travel distances inside the facility.
Customer-Focused Engineering Creates Value
This Kazakhstan project illustrates an important principle in industrial equipment sales: understanding the customer's actual application often creates greater value than simply offering a lower price.
By reactivating the project, redesigning the original solution, and optimizing both performance and cost, SEVENCRANE delivered a single girder gantry crane that fully met the customer's operational needs.
Today, our customized gantry crane solutions continue to help manufacturers around the world improve lifting efficiency, reduce operating costs, and achieve reliable long-term production performance.
