Delivering Column Jib Crane for Offshore Use in the Philippines
In August 2024, we received an inquiry from a client in the Philippines regarding a BZ3t-6m-9m column-mounted jib crane. The request included clear specifications, enabling us to promptly prepare a quote. After communicating via WhatsApp, it was discovered that the customer was acting on behalf of another party. Further communication on product details such as application and supply voltage was required. After consulting with their boss, the client provided further information, including site photos, confirming the crane’s potential installation on an offshore platform.
The client emphasized that the project was in its proposal stage, requiring precise load charts, product weight, foundation drawings, and delivery timelines. Two weeks later, we learned the project had been approved, transitioning communication to email for detailed discussions.
Despite approval, the process was not straightforward. The client, representing an engineering firm working for a project owner, exercised extreme caution. They needed assurances regarding the product’s suitability and sought cost reductions due to tight project budgets. Through patient explanations, professional knowledge, and consistent service, we gained the client’s trust, ultimately securing the order.
Due to quality assurance, production of column jib crane cannot be significantly accelerated. The client acknowledged these constraints and suggested shipping the crane’s foundation components via air freight, enabling installation preparation ahead of the main crane’s arrival by sea. This proactive approach minimized delays, allowing immediate on-site assembly upon delivery of the crane’s structure.
Both air and sea shipments have been successfully dispatched, marking the conclusion of this challenging yet rewarding collaboration. This case highlights our commitment to accommodating client needs, even in complex and high-stakes scenarios, while maintaining the quality and professionalism that set us apart in the industry.
